Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at SSM Health. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and supporting the surgical team in the Operating Room.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the Operating Room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, handling instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to implement a plan of care that prioritizes patient needs and ensures timely and effective treatment.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Either prior OR experience or graduation from an approved surgical technician program.
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
Work Environment

As a Surgical Technician at SSM Health, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift and move patients, and work in a variety of positions, including standing, sitting, and bending.
