Job Summary

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Echocardiography Technologist to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our Non-Invasive Cardiology lab, you will be responsible for providing high-quality echocardiography exams and services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do

1. **Perform Echocardiographic Exams**: Conduct echocardiographic procedures on patients of all ages, ensuring the highest quality studies possible.

2. **Patient Education and Support**: Prepare, educate, and assist patients, their families, and physicians in understanding echocardiographic procedures and their purposes.

3. **Equipment Operation and Maintenance**: Effectively understand and demonstrate the proper use of echocardiographic equipment, varying methods and calculations for each individual patient.

4. **Administrative Tasks**: Accurately complete all paperwork, videotape, and computer input data associated with procedures in a timely manner.

5. **Work Area Organization**: Safely and effectively organize work areas and supplies, scheduling patients efficiently and utilizing proper communication methods.

6. **Team Collaboration**: Work as an effective team member within the Echo lab, Non-Invasive Cardiology lab, Cardiology section, and hospital, for all required shifts.

7. **Procedural Decision-Making**: Participate in laboratory procedural decision-making, suggesting possible changes to add to cost-effective and efficient workflow while maintaining high-quality work.

8. **Continuing Education**: Participate in educational and quality control meetings, maintaining adequate continuing medical education units to stay current in the field.

9. **Compliance**: Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

10. **Additional Duties**: Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Required: High School Diploma/GED, graduate from an Ultrasound Education program with a cardiac focus, and ultrasound certification from ARDMAS or CCI in Echocardiography within 2 years of hire. Preferred: Associate's Degree, minimum of one year job-related experience.

Salary Range: $58.05 Hourly (Pay rate per contractual Union pay grid)EOE, including disability/vets.
