Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Radio-Television-Film courses at Austin Community College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the field and be able to deliver engaging and innovative instruction to a diverse student population.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach Radio-Television-Film courses, including cinema studies, TV production, lighting or visual effects, film and emerging media production, scriptwriting and creative podcasting.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide clear, timely feedback.
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with departmental learning outcomes.
  • Stay current in the field through professional development activities.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the department chair, dean, and/or associate vice president, vice president, executive vice president.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Radio-Television-Film or a related field.
  • Professional experience in one or more of the following: cinema studies, TV production, lighting or visual effects, film and emerging media production, scriptwriting and creative podcasting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using industry-standard programs, online resources, and other technologies for the classroom.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
