Job Title: Senior Java Software Engineer

At RTX, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Software Engineer to join our Satellite Ground Systems Team. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and test Java code in a Linux, Agile, DevOps environment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Java Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Java development, experience with Linux, and a solid understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and test Java-based applications and software components for satellite ground systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure software performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Participate in software design reviews, code reviews, and system integration activities.
  • Contribute to the completion of program and project milestones under the specific guidance of their immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and two (2) years of experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in object-oriented software design and development using Java in a Linux environment and using unit testing tools.
  • Experience in an Agile/DevOps environment.
  • S. government issued security clearance is required.
