Nursing Unit Leader

At Genesis HealthCare, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services. As a Unit Manager - RN, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing nursing care delivery on your assigned unit.
About the RoleThis position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while achieving positive clinical outcomes and patient/family satisfaction. You will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage and participate in developing, implementing, and evaluating ways to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement strategies to achieve patient care goals
- Mentor and educate nurses, working with physicians and other medical professionals, and serve as a resource to all staff within the nursing unit
- Oversee medication management to ensure adequate supplies and compliance with Genesis policy
- Provide direct patient care along with the other unit nurses to maintain skills
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution
- At least one year of nurse leadership experience
- Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center state
- Current BLS/CPR certification
