Unit Charge Nurse III, Med/Surg Acute Care Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Care Charge Nurse III to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit. You will supervise staff, facilitate communication with physicians and internal administrators, and provide optimal patient and family-centered care.

• Must meet all Clinical Nurse I Employee Commitments.
• Achieves points and contact hours as defined in the PLAN (clinical lattice) point system to maintain position.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Two years of experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration.
• Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
• Certification preferred.
• BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.
• If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop, and enrollment in LEAP course.
