Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to provide expert engineering services and support to our assigned group. The successful candidate will manage assignments in a safe, regulatory compliant, timely, and cost-effective manner. This role requires robust technical expertise and the ability to work independently while providing direction to staff and contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and finalize reports and work plans that align with both short and long-term objectives.
- Coordinate departmental project work plans and ensure timely completion.
- Lead the development of work plans and monitor progress, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Act as a technical representative in meetings with various stakeholders.
- Manage complex assignments and mentor less experienced engineers.
- Analyze data to make informed recommendations and decisions.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required. A registered Professional Engineering license in Kentucky is preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible engineering work experience is required.
Skills:
Strong understanding of business acumen, cooperative financial structures, and excellent communication skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CADD applications is required.
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily office-based with standard working conditions. Travel may be required, including overnight stays, and work outside normal hours may be necessary.
