The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work in a position at the Dallas campus with outpatient bleeding disorders, hemophilia, and thrombosis patients. This role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team within the UT Southwestern Pediatric Hematology/Oncology division at Children's Health in Dallas to provide comprehensive care to pediatric patients as a member of the Bleeding Disorders/HAT Team managing coagulopathies.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing physical examinations based on age and diagnosis, including psychological status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient plans of care, including ordering and interpreting laboratory, radiology, and other diagnostic studies/results.
- Provide relevant management, referrals, counseling, and education to patients, families, and caregivers related to current care and preventive health measures.
- Collaborate in research projects and protocols, and apply evidence-based best practices to patient care.
- Master's degree or higher in nursing, with documentation of completion of an accredited Advanced Practice Education Program.
- Graduate of a Master's degree or higher Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure as a primary or acute care (CPNP-AC) Pediatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Texas State Board of Nursing, or licensure as a Physician Assistant by the Texas Physician Assistant Board (PA-C).
