Job Summary:

Egan Company is seeking a skilled Security Technician to join our team. As a Security Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing access control, security, and CCTV systems. You will also program various security systems, assist with start-ups and commissioning of new equipment, and train users on life safety equipment.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, service, and repair access control, security, and CCTV systems.
  • Program various security systems, including Lenel, S2, Sielox, and Bosch.
  • Assist with start-ups and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Train users on life safety equipment.
  • Communicate daily with project managers.
  • Complete daily safety and additional documents.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience installing and programming fire alarm systems.
  • Valid MN Power Limited Technician license.
  • NICET certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of current codes.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 3-year Limited Energy JATC training or equivalent experience.
  • Current IBEW membership or willingness to join.

  • Ability to read and mark up prints.
  • Ability to lead and direct a team.
  • Effective interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
  • Ability to climb a ladder and work at heights.
  • Highly motivated and able to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
