Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Analyst to join our team at Campos EPC. As a GIS Analyst, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining enterprise geographic databases, analyzing information, and evaluating its applicability to the GIS system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain enterprise geographic databases
  • Analyze information and evaluate its applicability to the GIS system
  • Report GIS pipeline and related data in query, tabular report, and graphical formats
  • Interact with senior leadership to establish strategic plans and objectives
  • Maintain and improve data management and field survey procedures
  • Ensure company data integrity, accuracy, and efficient flow of data throughout the project life cycle
  • Support the Database Administrator with maintenance and design of internal databases and implementation of new geospatial databases and schema
  • Provide support for GIS-related requests from internal and external clients
  • Present GIS, data, capabilities, workflows, technical processes, organizational data flow, and GIS database schemas to management
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to identify problems and work creatively in a team environment to resolve them
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and to respond in a flexible manner and to reprioritize work as the situation demands
  • Knowledge of FME, ArcGIS Server, and GIS scripting languages, Python, ArcObjects, Visual Basic, HTML, and Java
  • 3+ years of mapping experience with the Esri platform stack required
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills necessary
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency with MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including internal resources and clients
  • Ability to read and interpret communication styles of team members and clients who come from both technical and non-technical disciplines
Preferred Skills
  • Skill in developing computer programs/queries using standard language/tools
  • Working knowledge of AutoDesk software products and MicroStation
  • SQL Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of CFR 192 and §195 sections as applied to pipeline GIS
  • Strong knowledge of GIS concepts and techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of electric and gas utility business processes, operating standards, and construction standards
  • Working knowledge of ESRI field apps
  • Advanced skills in data analysis using ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience working with ESRI's ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
  • FME software solutions a plus
  • Experience with mobile GIS/GPS technology and concepts
  • Knowledge of relational database management (RDBMS) concepts
  • Working knowledge of the latest IT concepts, technologies, and terminology
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • End-user support and training experience
  • Effective planning and scheduling skills, understanding of customer value drivers
  • Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines
  • Ability to accomplish complex project tasks in cooperation with other employees and multiple departments
  • Knowledge of Survey practices and procedures
Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Information Systems, or related field
  • 4-12 years of prior experience working with GIS
  • Experience should include oil and gas and/or pipeline experience
  • Experience with creating, updating, and maintaining geographic databases
  • Knowledge of ESRI's 9.3 & 10.x ArcGIS Desktop software
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Salary: $80K to $90K
