Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist at TRA Medical Imaging, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and diagnostic information. Your expertise in performing diagnostic ultrasound exams will be essential in helping our radiologists provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare patients for ultrasound exams: Provide thorough explanations of the procedures and clear instructions to ensure patients are comfortable and prepared for the exam.
  2. Obtain patient history and review charts: Gather relevant patient information and review charts to determine optimal scanning parameters for suspected pathology.
  3. Implement physician orders and perform exams: Accurately implement the orders of the referring physician and perform examinations of the Abdomen, Pelvis, OB, Small Parts & Vascular structures with accuracy.
  4. Present ultrasound examinations to radiologists: Present ultrasound examinations to the Radiologist in a professional precise manner, ensuring high-quality images and pertinent patient history.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate from an Accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program required; ARDMS registry eligible or Abdomen & OB/GYN preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physics, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. Utilize this knowledge to exercise precautions in patient applications respecting the biological effects between ultrasound and tissue.
