Key Responsibilities
  • Assessing physician medication orders for suitability regarding medication type, dosage, and potential interactions.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive patient database that includes relevant medical history, clinical data, and current medications.
  • Ensuring necessary laboratory tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered, reviewed, and communicated with the healthcare team.
  • Collecting and preserving all required documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Reporting medication-related errors to the Pharmacist in Charge.
  • Executing additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical preparation principles and practices.
  • Current licensure as a Pharmacist by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years' experience in pharmacy, particularly in long-term care settings.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong goal orientation and teamwork skills.
  • Possesses comprehensive therapeutic knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others and understand the current standards of pharmacy practice.
  • Proficient in necessary computer/software applications for job functions.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
