Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Avionics and Electrical Systems Lead Technician to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electrical systems on aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical leadership and expertise in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and electrical systems on aircraft.
  2. Develop and implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule requirements without compromising safety or quality.
  3. Train and mentor personnel to support company cross-training goals and ensure a safety-conscious, quality-oriented workforce.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot, and teach troubleshooting processes to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Oversee the performance and compliance with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  6. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  7. Enforce company safety regulations, FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and adapt to sudden schedule changes.
  8. Coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.

Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Six (6) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field; or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and four (4) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC License preferred.
  5. Other NCATT preferred.
