About the Role

The Roundhill is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our cafe, including ordering, health and safety, and managing the team when the Head Chef is off.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in creating and implementing menus, specials, and daily sandwich ideas
  • Manage the cafe's inventory, including ordering and stock control
  • Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional service and quality
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar role
  • Passion for food and a strong understanding of plant-based cooking
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a calm and composed demeanor
  • Flexibility to cover shifts as required
