About the Role

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Medical Inpatient Surgical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Comfort and reassure patients who are nervous or confused after surgery, promoting a safe and relaxed healing environment.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient details across 30 beds in the unit.
  • Welcome new patients and ensure they receive necessary medication to manage postoperative pain.
  • Confidently inform families and patients about home care and hospital care.
  • Collaborate with a team of nurses who share a commitment to patient well-being.
Qualifications
  • Unencumbered license to practice in the State of Arkansas.
  • At least 6 months of acute care experience, with new graduates or nurses without acute care experience eligible for our residency training program.
  • Previous ortho/neuro experience is preferred but not required.
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
