Job Summary

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will assist healthcare providers with patient care, administrative tasks, and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and maintaining patient records.
  • Assist with laboratory tests, radiology tests, and other medical procedures as needed.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient exams.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including restocking supplies and disposing of waste.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Medical Assistant certification obtained prior to hire date required.
  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
