Role Responsibilities:
The Specialty Pharmacy Care Coordinator will collaborate with medical clinic teams to provide pharmacy-focused administrative support and facilitate care coordination for patients beginning or continuing treatment with specialty medications.
This role involves:
- Executing care activities to expedite patient access to medications.
- Ensuring treatment affordability and adherence to therapy.
- Working alongside medical professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery.

Full-time
Compensation:
$24.11-$30.14 hourly, based on experience.

Qualifications:
Required:
Active Pharmacy Technician license in Washington and/or Oregon upon hire. Licensure in both states is required within three months of hire.
Preferred:
Experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting with demonstrated customer service skills. Knowledge of pharmacy benefit investigation, prior authorization support, and patient financial assistance programs is advantageous.
Skills:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential. Proficiency in computer applications and the ability to learn new software platforms is required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are crucial.
Work Environment:
This position is based in a medical office setting, requiring extensive keyboard and telephone use. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to meet business needs.
Essential Functions:
The role includes direct communication with insurance companies to verify medication benefit coverage and facilitate access to treatments. Responsibilities also encompass prior authorization support, prescription status communication, and connecting patients with financial assistance programs.
Maintaining accurate patient records and complying with company policies and procedures is essential.
