Quality Technician Overview

Tufco is in search of a dedicated Quality Technician who will be integral in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. The successful candidate will engage in various quality assurance activities aimed at tracking, analyzing, and reporting on materials, processes, and finished goods to guarantee compliance with both company and customer specifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for quality-related matters and decision-making
  • Oversee quality metrics and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data, implementing necessary modifications to uphold product standards
  • Evaluate both raw materials and final products to ensure quality benchmarks are met
  • Support the onboarding and training of new Quality Technicians
  • Engage in Tufco's Internal Audit procedures to maintain quality integrity

Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical abilities
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Familiarity with Quality Windows and SPC data analysis

Requirements:

  • Trained in the use of relevant equipment and laboratory testing methodologies
  • Adherence to lockout/tagout safety protocols
  • Proven track record of safety and a solid understanding of quality principles
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
