Signal Processing Intern

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Signal Processing Intern to join our Communication Software Implementation Department (CSID) within the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED). As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that span satellite, launch, ground, and cyber systems for defense, civil, and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to design and implement new algorithms and build hardware prototypes.
- Contribute to the development of non-traditional transceivers using machine learning for classification, regression, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised clustering.
- Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum GPA 3.0.
- Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term.
- Ability to return to a degree program after completion of the internship.
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Active security clearance.
