Signal Processing AI and ML Engineer

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Signal Processing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer to join our Communication Software Implementation Department (CSID) within the Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED). This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.
About the RoleThe Communication Technologies and Engineering Division (CTED) represents the disciplines of communications, networking, and PNT (Position, Navigation, and Timing) in support of space missions, along with their enabling technologies. Our engineers work directly with corporate and U.S. Government customers to ensure robust and resilient communications.
The Communication Software Implementation Department (CSID) performs proof-of-concept studies, implements new algorithms, and builds hardware prototypes to bring our radio systems beyond simulation and into the real world. We design non-traditional transceivers using machine learning for classification, regression, reinforcement learning, and unsupervised clustering.
Key Responsibilities- Participate with an interdisciplinary team in ongoing research or technical programs with academic collaboration partners.
- Apply standard techniques and procedures to carry out a series of prescribed scientific and/or engineering tasks.
- Training and mentorship will be provided.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical discipline from an accredited college/university, pursuing or conferred within last 12 months.
- Relevant academic or prior internship work experience.
- Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
