Responsibilities
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing our authentic Mexican cuisine following quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen. This role requires promoting, working, and acting in accordance with the El Encanto Mission Statement and Core Values. The Line Cook must maintain a clean and sanitary workstation at all times, prepare items for broiling, grilling, frying, sautéing, or other cooking methods, and know and comply consistently with El Encanto's standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules, policies, and procedures. Additionally, the Line Cook will stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations, check thermostat settings of grills, ovens, fryers, and other kitchen equipment, and adjust as necessary. They will follow recipe instructions to specifications, ensuring the quality, portion size, cooking time, and consistency of every item that leaves their station. The Line Cook must always follow safe food handling practices and use our product labeling system to label, date, rotate, and store all food products. They will close and open the kitchen properly following kitchen checklists for stations and assist others in closing the kitchen.

About the Job
This position offers an estimated salary range of $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
