We are seeking a Senior Medical Director for Geriatric Care to lead our team of clinicians in providing high-quality care to seniors and individuals with complex conditions.

Job Summary

This is a full-time clinical physician leadership role that requires expertise in geriatric care, strong administrative skills, and excellent communication abilities. As a Senior Medical Director, you will oversee the delivery of medical services across various settings, including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, independent living, group homes, and private homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality geriatric care to residents and patients across various settings.
  • Collaborate with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Audit medical orders and documentation for up to 10% of providers monthly, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Assume medical directorships for skilled and/or senior living facilities as needed.
  • Identify new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region.
  • Participate in company-wide call processes for timely response to acute changes of condition.
  • Maintain a high focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance, productivity, and prevention of avoidable transfers.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and hold a Doctor of Medicine degree.
  • Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare.
  • Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred.
