POSITION SUMMARY:
The Counseling Program Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing a treatment caseload within Hall County's Mental Health initiatives. This position involves collaborating with treatment personnel and providing direct counseling services to individuals facing challenges related to substance use or mental health disorders. The coordinator will facilitate both group and individual therapy sessions, maintain accurate records, and monitor the progress of treatment plans under the guidance of the Program Director.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct group sessions and offer personalized counseling
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches and curricula
- Exhibit expertise in counseling methodologies pertinent to mental health, substance use, and developmental disabilities
- Deliver psycho-educational training across various topics
- Design and execute therapeutic activities tailored to client needs
Ensure meticulous management of client files, including treatment plans, assessments, progress documentation, and discharge strategies.
Provide tailored treatment recommendations based on individual assessments.
Assist in gathering data and conducting research to enhance treatment efficacy.
Perform initial evaluations and orient clients to the program.
Participate in review meetings and maintain accurate records as required.
Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive client information.
Engage in mandatory training sessions and uphold licensure and accreditation standards.
Consistent and reliable attendance is crucial.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
