The Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with the team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care as defined by the State's Nurse Practice Act.
- Implement the plan of care initiated by the registered nurse, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Collect assessment data and perform observations to report to and collaborate with RNs and physicians.
- Participate in the coordination of home health services, identifying the needs for other disciplines and reporting to the registered nurse and/or Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing.
- Utilize equipment and supplies effectively and efficiently.
- Engage in personal and professional growth and development.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the registered nurse.
Requirements
- Must have completed a practical (vocational) nursing program or be licensed in the state where the HHA is located.
- Three years of nursing experience is preferred, with community/home health or medical/surgical experience being advantageous.
- Currently licensed as a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse in the state.
- Comply with accepted professional standards and practice.
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
- The ability to drive and/or have access to transportation for agency-related travel is an essential function of the job.
Pay Range:
$35.00-$45.00
