About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Job Summary

This LPN position is responsible for providing direct care to assigned patients within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care through the effective use of the nursing process, including data gathering, planning, and evaluation.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Assist with delegated duties and interact with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage personal and professional development, maintaining required clinical knowledge, technical skills, and training.
Requirements
  • Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Preferred: IV therapy credentials.
