The Pharmacy Technician Specialist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities- Perform advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Operate Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and perform monthly medication storage area inspections.
- Accurately perform calculations and compound medications and parenteral admixtures.
- Utilize aseptic techniques in the preparation of parenteral compounding.
- Ensure compliance with USP 795, 797, 800 daily/monthly requirements.
- National Certification (PTCB or NHA) is required.
- Texas State Board Registration as a Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern is required.
- Minimum of 3 years hospital experience is preferred.
- Associate's Degree is required.
