Exercise Physiologist PRN

We are seeking a dedicated Exercise Physiologist PRN to join our team at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals. As an Exercise Physiologist PRN, you will provide effective care to a diverse range of inpatient/outpatient cardiac patients, collaborating with Physician, Technicians, Nurses, Allied Health Practitioners, and Volunteers.

• Assist with initial and daily assessments of patients
• Prepare patients for telemetry monitoring
• Modify and monitor exercise prescriptions
• Record patient data
• Document daily notes
• Transport patients safely
• Assist with setting up the exercise room, equipment, and supplies
• Assist patients with exercise sessions
• Identify and respond to any EKG changes, arrhythmia, and/or change in patient's condition

• Bachelors Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or related degree
• Current BLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 1 year of hire or transfer
• Experience in exercise testing, training, and prescription with healthy individuals as well as patient populations and group teaching skills
