Job Title: Cook I

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cook I to join our team at the Lake Cumberland State Resort Park. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service and ensuring the highest quality food products in our 200-seat restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement, and manage food product consistency under the direction of the Chef III.
  • Assist in menu development under the direction of the Chef III.
  • Sanitize food service areas and ensure proper food storage.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong analytical thinking and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.

Requirements:
  • One year of cooking experience in an institutional or large-scale commercial setting.
  • Vocational training in food service will substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
