The Job
As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring that every interaction is a positive one. You will be the face of our brand, and your enthusiasm and energy will set the tone for an unforgettable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Take and place orders, serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately
- Collect money, following all proper cash handling and comp procedures
- Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the front and back of house, clear tables and counters, and sweep and maintain the cleanliness of the dining area
- Pack and complete orders as per guests' preferences with any necessary condiments
- Properly label and date products per safety and sanitation procedures
- Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment
- Unload warehouse orders and stock the orders to designated storage, maintaining organization, stock, and replenish products as needed in work stations, counters, tables, etc.
- Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
Requirements
- One year of experience as a food handler in a similar, high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Experience in a coffeehouse environment as a barista
- One year of guest service experience
- Cash handling experience with point-of-sale (POS) system
- Able to handle multiple types of information and/or perform multiple tasks
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Takes pride in their work
- Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences
- Describes themselves as detail-oriented
- Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression
- Ability to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays
