Job Title: Civil CAD Designer

We are seeking a skilled Civil CAD Designer to join our team at NV5. As a Civil CAD Designer, you will play a critical role in shaping our communities through the delivery of high-quality engineering and consulting services.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, check, and review working plans, detail drawings, and specifications for layout and construction of site layout, foundations, structural steel, and underground utilities.
  • Develop 2D and 3D construction/layout drawings for site grading/drainage/permit drawings, coordinating Civil and Structural designs with Mechanical and Electrical/I&C disciplines.
  • Review and compare Civil/Structural subcontractor drawings against base models for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain or develop new project drawing files for all related drawings in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Understand and follow standard CAD practices and procedures.
  • Use CAD equipment and software, proficient in both 2D & 3D CAD drafting as well as AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Exposure to field survey, total station or transit (auto level) experience, site plan development, construction layout, laser scanning, and point cloud processing will be beneficial.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D Design software.
  • MS Excel Spreadsheet software.
  • MS Word Processing software.
  • Laser scan/point cloud (Kubit/Pointsense, Leica) experience a plus.
