Description of Duties:

The Information Security Analyst will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The selected candidate will:

  • Utilize technical expertise to bolster mission-focused cybersecurity efforts.
  • Design systems to operate with essential security measures in place.
  • Perform regular manual and automated assessments to ensure adherence to the Exercises and Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditations as mandated by the MDA Authorizing Official.
  • Assist with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) reporting requirements and ensure timely installation of security patches.
  • Oversee System Security Plan documentation in eMASS and update the eMASS Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) in accordance with RMF continuous monitoring standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of each system's RMF Control Compliance Indicators (CCI) and track corrective actions until resolution.
  • Apply cybersecurity principles to devise practical configuration management solutions aimed at enhancing the cybersecurity framework.
  • Comprehend the Risk Management Framework Certification and Accreditation process.

Here's what you'll need:

Basic Requirements:

  • Must possess one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) with 4 years of general experience; Associate's degree with 2 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree with no general experience.
  • Must have 2 years of directly relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with Trellix/McAfee products, such as HBSS, ESS, ENS, is required.
  • Must hold a current DoD 8570 IAT level II certification (Security+ CE).
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel, not exceeding 10%, CONUS or OCONUS, to support Exercises and War-games systems cybersecurity deployment efforts or other team initiatives.
  • Ability to document work thoroughly and adhere to DoD and MDA level enterprise processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of BMDS, War-games, and Exercises.
  • Familiarity with NIST accreditation documentation and processes.
  • Experience with Multi-Factor technology (RSA and PKI); Common Criteria requirements; FIPS 140-2 standards; patch management; vulnerability management; Ports, Protocols, and Services Management.
  • Experience with central log servers (SPLUNK or ArcSight).
  • Familiarity with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Experience with SCCM, WSUS, and ACAS.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 update and patch management processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems.

This position is expected to offer a salary range of $92,300 - $117,300 annually, based on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
