About the Opportunity

As a Store Cashier at Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc., you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while operating a cash register. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ringing up all sales transactions into the cash register and ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Greeting and assisting customers with a courteous and professional attitude, providing prompt and efficient service at all times.
  • Directing customers to the proper area and providing general information as requested.
  • Operating a cash register and handling cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and change Round Up program.
  • Keeping the register area clean and orderly at all times.
  • Assisting sales floor employees with stocking and recovery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Basic computer skills and beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers.
  • High School education or equivalent is preferred, and previous retail and/or cashiering experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Standing and walking for long periods and ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
