Job Summary

The Counselor will provide direct counseling and case management services to patients, including individual and group sessions, assessment, treatment planning, and aftercare services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of substance abuse treatment and be able to work effectively with patients to achieve their treatment goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a caseload of patients and provide individualized counseling and case management services
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
  • Provide group counseling sessions and lead educational groups on topics related to substance abuse
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling, psychology, or social work
  • Experience working in a substance abuse treatment setting
  • Knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities and best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
