As a COTA, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
Responsibilities- Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of occupational therapy plans for students with special needs
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student strengths and areas of need
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote student independence, self-advocacy, and academic success
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure seamless communication and support
- Provide direct therapy services to students, including adaptive equipment training, sensory integration techniques, and fine motor skills development
- 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a School Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) within the last 3 years
- Valid School Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) credential/license or in process in state of practice
