Deputy Chief Medical Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Medical Officer - Psychiatrist to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of medical services to children, youth, and families served by the child welfare system.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the delivery of medical services to children, youth, and families served by the child welfare system.
- Develop and implement clinical practice standards, policies, and procedures.
- Provide clinical consultation and serve as a clinical/strategic advisor to enhance clinical operations.
- Identify cost of care opportunities and develop programs to improve quality, cost, and outcomes.
- Support the Chief Medical Officer in ensuring an integrated approach to the physical health, behavioral health, and TBI needs of members.
- MD or DO degree and Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine or a health profession.
- Minimum of 10 years of clinical experience, or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
- At least 2+ years' experience in managed care and 1+ year experience working with children, youth, and families served by the child welfare system.
- Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Experience working with State agencies involved with the care of children, youth, and families.
