We are seeking a highly skilled Spanish Interpreter to join our dynamic team at Global Language System LLC in Wilmington, NC. As a key member of our interpreting team, you will provide accurate and fluent interpretation services between Spanish-speaking clients and English-speaking professionals.

This role requires a professional with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a strong understanding of cultural nuances in both languages. You will be responsible for conducting face-to-face interpreting sessions, ensuring accurate interpretation without altering the original meaning, and adhering to ethical codes that protect confidentiality and impartiality.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in professional interpreting, proficiency in Spanish and English, and certification from an accredited interpreting body (e.g., CCHI, NBCMI). You will also have excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in team settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct face-to-face interpreting sessions between Spanish-speaking clients and English-speaking professionals.
  • Ensure accurate and contextually appropriate interpretation without altering the original meaning.
  • Adhere to ethical codes that protect the confidentiality and impartiality of the interpretation process.
  • Assist in translating written documents from Spanish to English and vice versa as needed.
  • Participate in continuous education to enhance professional language skills and understanding of specialized terms in various fields.
  • Manage scheduling and client interactions with professionalism and punctuality.

Compensation:
