Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Stephens. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus that showcase our commitment to quality and excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create innovative and delicious menus that meet the needs of our discerning guests
  • Procure high-quality food supplies and kitchen equipment, ensuring efficient inventory management and quality control
  • Collaborate with event planners to design customized menus and dining experiences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local food purveyors to source the freshest ingredients
  • Lead and train a team of kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Analyze and implement policies to maintain the highest standards of health, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and acquisition of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Plan and schedule kitchen operations, including employee hours and responsibilities
  • Monitor and approve time and attendance for kitchen staff
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

Requirements

  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a chef, preferably in a similar position
  • Food ServSafe certification
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Diverse experience with various food styles
  • Passion for producing high-quality food and service
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
  • Reliability, punctuality, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic accounting skills and intermediate computer skills for communication and inventory management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage time effectively
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and travel as required
