Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train staff to ensure prompt and courteous service.

  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure the dining room meets company standards.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.

  • Follow up on established training steps to ensure staff is meeting expectations.
  • Handle guest comments and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Communicate with guests and receive feedback to improve service.
  • Stay on the floor during peak hours to ensure excellent service.
  • Observe, teach, and correct staff's service to maintain high standards.
  • Examine food preparation and beverage presentation to ensure quality.
  • Maintain the condition of the dining room, lobby lounge, morsels, mini bar, and room service areas.
  • Assist the manager in scheduling, completing weekly payroll, and forecasting both weekly and monthly.
  • Participate in interviewing new employees as needed.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Monitor food and liquor requisitions and food waste to optimize inventory.
  • Check bar controls, shot glass use, red lining, and bottles totally empty daily to ensure compliance.
