About the Role

Alden Estates of Evanston is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to lead our care team and provide exceptional patient care. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for supervising nursing assistants, developing patient care plans, and ensuring the highest level of quality care is maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Instruct Nursing Assistants: Directly supervise and instruct nursing assistants on various topics to promote job knowledge and ensure they are following established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop Patient Care Plans: Assist in developing a written plan of care for each patient that identifies their problems/needs and ensures all nursing procedures and protocols are followed in accordance with established policies.
  • Lead the Care Team: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Ensure Quality Care: Ensure all nursing procedures and protocols are followed in accordance with established policies and that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
  • Participate in Continuing Education: Attend and participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest healthcare trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Current RN License: Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN in the State of Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
  • CPR Certification: Must possess current CPR certification or become certified within two weeks of employment.
  • Leadership Skills: Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
