Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and developmental needs, and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
  • Medication Administration and Management: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and manage medication regimens to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Patient Education and Support: Educate patients and families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote health and well-being.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.
  • License and Certification: Current RN license to practice in the State of Texas and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a pediatric setting.
  • Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
