KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Collaborate with Associate DVMs, Hospital Manager, and clinical staff to ensure the highest standards of clinical practices and medical care are upheld.
  • Promote a positive and healthy workplace culture by leading through example and providing constructive feedback.
  • Enhance client experience by working alongside DVMs and the Hospital Manager to resolve issues and facilitate training as necessary.
  • Guide Associate DVMs and clinical personnel on clinical outcomes and best practices.
  • Oversee DVM scheduling and recruitment in partnership with the Hospital Manager and Operations.
  • Engage in operational and financial discussions to address hospital challenges, identify growth prospects, and support effective management and investment strategies.
  • Assist in attracting and retaining talented DVMs while creating ongoing training programs.
  • Contribute to regular meetings with doctors to ensure adherence to high clinical standards.
  • Work closely with the Hospital Manager and Regional Operations Director to proactively identify growth and improvement opportunities for the hospital and clinical training for the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Valid and active veterinarian license in Arizona.
  • Necessary clinical privileges and DEA license.
  • 3-5 years of clinical experience.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Director is preferred.
  • Strong clinical acumen and sound medical judgment.
  • Desire and ability to mentor and develop Associate DVM clinical skills is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and delegation capabilities.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and exemplary decision-making abilities.
  • Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions.
