Role Overview

As an FX/Rates Marketer at SMBC, you will report to the Managing Director & Deputy General Manager and focus on strengthening the FX and Rates business with Japanese corporate clients in the Americas. If you have experience in engaging with clients in the FX business and providing risk management ideas, this role is for you. The position involves working closely with SMBC Capital Markets Inc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Developing strong relationships with customers and Relationship Managers
  • Driving initiatives to build the FX and Rates business
  • Providing daily market commentary and engaging prospective customers
  • Motivating junior Marketers and Bank Relationship Managers
  • Understanding clients' needs and collaborating with other Departments
  • Providing efficient solutions to clients
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Expertise in FX and Rates derivative products
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. regulatory requirements
  • Marketing skills
  • Proven success in FX products development
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of eFX process and ISDA process
  • Excellent organizational, time management, communication, and presentation skills
  • 7 years of relevant experience
  • Business fluency in English and Japanese
