As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Program Manager to ensure the smooth daily operations of this essential resource for adult mental health consumers. Your primary focus will be on creating and implementing engaging educational, social, and recreational activities that foster a supportive and enriching environment.
Beyond program development, you will play a crucial role in assisting consumers with accessing essential services and navigating community resources. Your compassionate approach and strong communication skills will empower individuals to build upon their strengths and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Program Manager to plan, implement, and evaluate a diverse range of activities that cater to the needs and interests of adult mental health consumers.
- Provide guidance and support to consumers as they access essential services and navigate community resources.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere at the Drop-in Center, promoting positive interactions and a sense of belonging among participants.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities and consumer engagement.
- Contribute to a collaborative and supportive team environment, actively participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Associate's degree in Human Services or Behavioral Health; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with the ability to operate a 14-passenger van.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges and/or substance abuse issues.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse populations.
