Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology and working under the immediate direction of the Physician(s), the Cardiac Sonographer performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Cardiographic testing on patients.

Responsibilities:

* Conducts echocardiograms and other diagnostic tests to evaluate cardiovascular function
* Interprets test results and provides accurate diagnoses
* Maintains a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular and thoracic anatomy, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics
* Develops and implements effective treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams
* Provides exceptional patient care and communication

Requirements:

* Completion of a Certified Ultrasound program required
* Cardiac Sonography certificate program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or equivalent required
* Minimum of two years experience performing and interpreting 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler Echocardiograms
* Vascular Ultrasound experience preferred
* Current registration as RDCS or RCS required; or registry-eligible with RDCS or RCS achieved within 6 months of hire
* BLS healthcare provider required

Skills:

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to maintain confidential information
* Proficiency in medical terminology and ultrasound physics
* Computer skills required
