Role Summary - Yard Operations Specialist
The Yard Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting bulk product delivery to operational teams and assisting with on-site activities.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Home every evening
- Local driving (2-3 hours)
- Early morning shifts starting around 4 AM
- 10-12 hour workdays, with a maximum of 14 hours
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety by adhering to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines, ensuring safety measures are in place, and supporting team safety.
- Maintain a tidy work environment by organizing tools and equipment and securing the job site daily to mitigate hazards.
- Load and unload materials from trucks.
- Provide assistance to team members as needed.
- Operate mobile equipment safely on-site.
- Support maintenance activities, including lubrication and minor repairs.
- Organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Keep accurate records of stocked products.
- Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.
- Capability to work at elevated heights.
- Experience in mining, quarrying, or construction is advantageous.
- Familiarity with hand tools and mechanical skills is preferred.
Essential Attributes

- Reliable transportation to the job site is necessary.
- Self-motivated with strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move items weighing up to 50-70 pounds.
- Consistent attendance and reliability are crucial.
- Must pass drug testing, motor vehicle record checks, and background screenings.
- Strong organizational capabilities.
Physical Demands
- Work involves outdoor conditions in various weather.
- Must be able to load products, handle large hoses, fill holes, and climb on and off trucks.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of 50 pounds or more.
- Regular pushing and pulling while operating equipment.
- Frequent bending and squatting required.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- One year of relevant work experience is preferred.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
