Job Overview

We're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Yard Specialist to join our team at Carter Lumber. As a Yard Specialist, you will assist contractors and DIYers with selecting and loading their orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and maintain inventory levels by conducting cycle counts. You will also be responsible for keeping the yard organized and clean, using equipment such as forklifts. If you have a friendly personality, customer service experience, and are able to work outside in all conditions, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with selecting and loading their orders
  • Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery
  • Maintain inventory levels by conducting cycle counts
  • Keep the yard organized and clean
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts
Requirements
  • Customer service experience
  • Friendly personality
  • Familiarity with building materials is helpful
  • Ability to work outside in all conditions
  • Hours: 6:30am-5pm (Mon-Fri)
  • Pay: $15-$18/hr
