Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Memorial Hermann Health System. As a per diem Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and rehabilitating patients of all ages with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients with communication and oral-pharyngeal disorders to identify areas of need and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment programs to improve patients' communication and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate treatment plans.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes to inform treatment decisions and improve patient care.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote effective communication and swallowing strategies.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Current licensure to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Texas.
  • Current certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • At least one year of experience in speech-language pathology, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
