About the Role

At Amergis, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Therapist to join our team. As a valued member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in our school setting.

Responsibilities
  • Assess students' communication skills to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaborate with various groups and individuals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students to present evaluation results, develop treatment plans, and/or provide training to parents/students/staff.
  • Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Instruct eligible students in the use of appropriate communication technologies.
  • Maintain files and records, including progress reports, activity logs, billing information, treatment plans, required documentation, quarterly reports, screening results, etc.
Requirements
  • Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment is required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred and may be required by state/contract.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable.
  • Current CPR if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Computer proficiency is required.
