We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Amergis. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in helping students overcome communication challenges and achieve their full potential. Job Summary:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist with Amergis, you will be responsible for assessing communication skills, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to meet the unique needs of each student. You will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess students' communication skills, including articulations, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive language, to identify communication disorders and develop recommendations for treatment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to communicate information, resolve issues, and provide services that comply with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate meetings and processes for eligible students, such as testing, IEPs, and parent conferences, to present evaluation results and develop treatment plans.
  • Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to minimize the adverse impact of communication disorders on student success.
  • Instruct students in the use of communication technologies, such as hearing aids, FM systems, and augmentative communication devices.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, including progress reports, activity logs, and billing information.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including training, workshops, and seminars.
  • Provide speech and language therapy to students to minimize the impact of speech and language disorders on student success.

Requirements:

  • A valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in the state of assignment is required.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is preferred and may be required by state or contract.
  • You must comply with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program may be required.
  • You must possess current CPR certification if applicable.
  • A TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray may be required if applicable.
  • A current Health certificate is required per contract or state regulation.
  • You must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • You must complete new hire training as applicable to the job site.
  • You understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • You can effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, clients, and others through strong communication skills.
  • You are proficient in the English language.
  • You possess computer proficiency.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
