Job Overview:

Centuria Inc. is seeking a skilled Software Development Specialist to join our team supporting the NWS NEXRAD Radar Operations Center (ROC) in Norman, OK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering and experience working with Linux operating systems. This position offers a competitive salary of $95,000 - $120,000 per year.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented individual who can develop, modify, and maintain software applications to support radar systems and equipment. The successful candidate will perform systems analysis to design, implement, and optimize software solutions. Strong programming skills in a Linux environment using languages such as C or C++ are required. Experience with widget toolkits like GTK+ or Motif is a plus.

The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software with hardware systems and ensure compliance with best practices in software engineering, systems integration, and cybersecurity. A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is desired, but degrees in other technical disciplines may be considered if augmented by a minor in Computer Science or equivalent formal training courses.
